Bahr Rapaport, Owner/Executive Chef
Bahr Rapaport has been working and expanding his experience in the hospitality industry from a young age. After obtaining a degree with a focus in Food & Beverage and Hospitality Management from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Rapaport honed his skills as a Food & Beverage Manager in Las Vegas working as an event and VIP services manager for large casinos and venues such as Indy Racing and NASCAR.
Rapaport moved to New York in 2008 where he managed the day to day operations of a 24 hour New York French Bistro, L'Express, before opening Mezetto with his business partner, Alon Moskovitch in late 2012.
Alon Moskovitch, Owner/Director of Operations
With over 10 years of New York restaurant experience, Alon Moskovitch comes to Mezetto with a degree in Hotel & Restaurant Institutional Management from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Immediately after leaving school, Moskovitch was recruited by the Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York as the Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. Moskovitch decided to move to the private sector of the hospitality industry and had the opportunity to open the acclaimed Payard Patisserie & Bistro as the General Manager. Following his time at Payard, he has worked as the Director of Operations for the Tour de France Restaurant Group, overseeing multiple properties in NYC.
Together, Moskovitch and Rapaport seek to bring something entirely individual to the New York dining landscape in Mezetto.
